A sanctuary to soften, slow down, and return to your sacred self.
In this fast-moving world, the sacredness of simply being often slips through our fingers. We are praised for doing, producing, and striving — but rarely for pausing, breathing, and listening. To live like the Sloth — steady, mindful, unhurried — feels almost impossible in a culture that moves at the speed of technology.
At The Sacred Sloth, we gently hold space for those who long to rediscover the sacredness of the present moment. Space to move at the speed of humanity, not machinery. Space to heal and restore — body, mind, spirit, and energy. Space where you can shed the roles you carry and rest in your true self. Just you, present and whole, free from the noise.
About Erin
Erin Corpuz is the founder of The Sacred Sloth, a cozy home-based studio in South Orange, NJ. Before 2021, she spent two decades as a dedicated Event Producer in New York City while raising her family. After experiencing burnout, Erin shifted her path and fulfilled a lifelong dream by becoming a certified Yoga Teacher in 2020. Shortly after, she faced paralysis caused by Transverse Myelitis, a rare neurological condition. Though she continues to live with chronic symptoms, through medical care, yoga, and spiritual practice she has regained mobility and cultivated greater resilience.
Her journey inspired a deeper calling. Following a profound spiritual awakening in 2021, Erin became certified in Reiki I & II and has continued her education in yoga, meditation, and breathwork. Drawing from her lived experience with chronic illness, pain, and healing, she now helps others nurture their bodies, calm their nervous systems, and reconnect with their inner stillness. Erin lives in South Orange with her husband Rod and their three children, where she welcomes students and clients into The Sacred Sloth Treehouse.
