Our breath is the number one resource we have to help us feel better. Most of us don’t really know how to use it. I’m sure you’ve seen movies where someone is hyperventilating. They blow in and out of a brown bag. Yes, no?
We want to avoid the hyperventilating part. We will teach you various breaths that are easy to do. This particular breath is easy to remember when you feel stress or anxiety start to come on.

Find a comfortable place to sit or stand. Try and relax your body. Lower your shoulders if they are up by your ears.
- Start with a few normal breaths
- When you are ready to begin, inhale for 4 seconds
- Hold your breath for 4 seconds
- Exhale for 4 seconds
- Hold for 4 seconds
- Repeat until your start to feel less stressed and more present
